Hi! I'm Lauren Darr Murray, the creative force behind laurel + finch. As the owner and lead designer, I wear many hats – from orchestrating breathtaking floral arrangements to managing consultations and emails, handling scheduling, and swiftly solving any challenges that come my way. I love to spend time with my husband, Andrew and our sweet little boy, Smith! We have a bluetick coon hound named Jericho and a cat named Kit Kat and try to get back to East Texas as much as we can to spend time with family. I enjoy being outside but hate mosquitoes and live life with the mindset that dessert can solve any ailment!

My passion for design took root at Baylor, where I earned my degree in Interior Design. Sic'em Bears!! Those college days laid the foundation for my creative spirit and set the stage for what was to become an exciting career. In 2008, during my senior year, I dipped my toes into the world of florals. Little did I know that this introduction would be the start of something bigger and would define my professional journey. Fast forward nine years, and laurel + finch came to life. With over 15 years of experience in the floral industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a keen eye for design to every project.

ty

Ty is a 3rd generation farmer turned event enthusiast. His life is a beautiful blend of working on his family ranch and finding himself knee-deep in flowers other days. With his enneagram 7 personality and creative mind, he's always been drawn to a career that fuels his love for trendy and cohesive events. In 2019, he turned his dreams into reality when he had the opportunity to work with Lauren, who mentored him in event floral design. That chance encounter set the course for his journey in the wedding industry. Today, he is not only a proud member of L+F, but also the owner of Folk & Rowe curated rentals. Additionally, his wife Hayley and he own The Book of Beautiful Weddings.

He considers himself incredibly fortunate to have the best career in the world. While the long hours and endless weekend work can be challenging, the reward lies in seeing our clients' eyes light up as we create magic for them.​

noelle

Noelle joined our team in January 2023, after moving to Waco with her husband, Mason. Her passion lies in creating garden-style bridal bouquets and centerpieces, capturing the unique essence of every couple we collaborate with. 

​

Noelle’s love for creative expression extends beyond the workplace, where she channels her energy into crafting, reading, and baking. She enjoys spending time with her family, and she cherishes all the moments spent with her nieces and nephew. At the center of her and Mason’s home life is their cat, Winston, who adds an extra layer of warmth to their household. 

​

Noelle's journey, both personally and professionally, is a testament to her commitment to balance, where her passion for creativity seamlessly intertwines with her role within our team. As she continues to blossom in her career, Noelle remains grounded in the simple joys of life, making her a truly remarkable individual within our collaborative work environment.

kallie

Kallie joined the team in March 2024. Having almost a decade of experience in the wedding and event industry, and a love for floral design, it was a natural fit. Her passion for floral started when planning her own wedding! Her desire to make the floral elements of her wedding day the focal point drove her to learn the process of floral design from beginning to end. Her knowledge and experience grew from there through her career as a wedding planner.

Kallie spends her time outside of the studio with her husband, Ethan and her four boys, Walker, Wells, Wade and Watts. She works in other facets of the industry and uses her creative side not only in the studio, but through content creation on our social media. Her favorite part of floral design is seeing the variety of different styles and color palettes that brides choose for their big day and making their vision come to life!

Jaden joined our team in May 2024. She is a college athlete in Women's Golf at MCC. Her passion for floral began in her high school floral class where she learned the basics of floral design. Jaden hopes to pursue her passion after college by opening her own floral shop!​

gracie

Gracie joined the l+f team in February of 2024. With a background in event planning and interior design, her eye for detail and natural love for flowers drew her to floral design. She comes alive working with flowers and creating beautiful, detailed arrangements to delight clients. She has a blast working with the team and learning from some of the best in the industry!
