Hi! I'm Lauren Darr Murray, the creative force behind laurel + finch. As the owner and lead designer, I wear many hats – from orchestrating breathtaking floral arrangements to managing consultations and emails, handling scheduling, and swiftly solving any challenges that come my way. I love to spend time with my husband, Andrew and our sweet little boy, Smith! We have a bluetick coon hound named Jericho and a cat named Kit Kat and try to get back to East Texas as much as we can to spend time with family. I enjoy being outside but hate mosquitoes and live life with the mindset that dessert can solve any ailment!


My passion for design took root at Baylor, where I earned my degree in Interior Design. Sic'em Bears!! Those college days laid the foundation for my creative spirit and set the stage for what was to become an exciting career. In 2008, during my senior year, I dipped my toes into the world of florals. Little did I know that this introduction would be the start of something bigger and would define my professional journey. Fast forward nine years, and laurel + finch came to life. With over 15 years of experience in the floral industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a keen eye for design to every project.

meet the team


Ty is a 3rd generation farmer turned event enthusiast. His life is a beautiful blend of working on his family ranch and finding himself knee-deep in flowers other days. With his enneagram 7 personality and creative mind, he's always been drawn to a career that fuels his love for trendy and cohesive events. In 2019, he turned his dreams into reality when he had the opportunity to work with Lauren, who mentored him in event floral design. That chance encounter set the course for his journey in the wedding industry. Today, he is not only a proud member of L+F, but also the owner of Folk & Rowe curated rentals. Additionally, his wife Hayley and he own The Book of Beautiful Weddings.

He considers himself incredibly fortunate to have the best career in the world. While the long hours and endless weekend work can be challenging, the reward lies in seeing our clients' eyes light up as we create magic for them.
