Hi! I'm Lauren Darr Murray, the owner and lead designer for laurel + finch. I am the mastermind behind all things floral, consultations and emails, bookkeeping and being a quick problem solver! I love to spend time with my husband, Andrew and our sweet little boy, Smith! We have a bluetick coon hound named Jericho and a cat named Kit Kat and try to get back to East Texas as much as we can to spend time with family. I enjoy being outside but hate mosquitoes and live life with the mindset that dessert can solve any ailment!
I am a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Interior Design - Sic'em Bears!! I started working in the floral industry my senior year of college (2008) and was hooked! Nine years later laurel + finch was born and now I strive to create beautiful and memorable florals for weddings and events while keeping things fun and light-hearted!
With a true focus on each individual client that crosses our path, l+f prides itself in the ability to give full attention to each customer. Since we put all of our creative focus into weddings and events, we feel like we have better client interaction and fully understand our brides and customers. We are incredibly detail oriented and thrive on making sure that your vision, no matter how big or small, comes to life on your special day.
Megan joined our squad in May 2021 after we were transitioning one of our former employees into a new career! She is quiet at times but an incredibly hard worker, the other half of my brain, a faithful friend and loves our family well! She serves as our design manager and has filled that real amazingly! She is a newlywed to her husband, Kyle, and they have 2 pups and several cats! She is a graduate of Texas A+M - Gig'em Ags - and has previous wedding experience as a coordinator in College Station. We are so, so grateful for her!
We also have several people on our crew that you might see for setups, installations + clean up!
